About
Clément Goujon
Founder & Principal ConsultantA systems engineer for close to ten years on Europe’s flagship space and defence programs, Clément led the system architecture of ESA’s Argonaut lunar lander and shaped the MBSE deployment strategy of a leading space integrator. He has delivered projects, R&D studies and winning proposals across a wide spectrum: telecom satellites, lunar landers and transfer vehicles, crewed habitats, and communication & navigation systems, building on earlier experience developing RF products for the space segment.
Today he leads systems engineering on a major European naval program, teaches Space Systems Engineering & MBSE at Master’s level at Université Toulouse III, and mentors European space start-ups. INCOSE CSEP certified, working in English, French and Italian.

What the last decade actually consisted of
- Led systems engineering on programs of every scale, from R&D and feasibility studies through to major multi-year contracts.
- System architecture lead, ESA Argonaut lunar lander: the ESA programme for autonomous cargo delivery to the lunar surface.
- Phase 0/A/B feasibility studies across a wide span of space exploration: Moon Village (16 studies for the Italian Space Agency on a lunar-surface station), HEARTED (European Earth-reentry demonstration mission), LCNS (lunar telecom and navigation constellation), CLTV (cislunar logistics transfer vehicle), among many others.
- Team leadership: led functional-architect groups and peer reviews within the System, Functional & Avionics Architecture Committee of a large system integrator.
- Recognised specialist in MBSE: built a space integrator’s MBSE deployment strategy, led R&D studies with ESA, and coached international engineering teams.
- Trainer & lecturer: teaches Space Systems Engineering & MBSE at Master’s level (Université Toulouse III) and has delivered company-wide training and best-practice sharing.
- Mentor to European space start-ups: technical and business coaching for early-stage ventures.
- Engineering Physics background (MSc, INSA Toulouse): applied physics and materials, electronics and signal processing, RF, instrumentation and test benches: the breadth needed to engage across a project’s full technical spectrum.
- Languages: English, French and Italian, including written deliverables and customer-facing reviews.
